Dubai Metro: Nonstop Service for New Year’s Eve

Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram are set to run continuously during New Year’s Eve to meet the high demand from residents and visitors. The Dubai Metro will operate nonstop for 43 hours across its Red and Green Lines, covering 53 stations. However, the Burj Khalifa Metro Station will close at 5 PM to manage crowd flow. Meanwhile, the Dubai Tram will operate for 24 hours through its 11 stations.

The announcement was made during a press conference by Dubai’s Events Security Committee (ESC) on Tuesday. Hussein Al Bana, Executive Director of Traffic and Roads at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), emphasized the efforts to ensure smooth transportation for everyone during the celebrations.

In addition to the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram services, 1,400 buses will be deployed to transport visitors across the city. The RTA has also prepared additional buses to accommodate any surge in demand. This move aims to provide seamless mobility and reduce traffic congestion, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festivities without hassle.
