Yellow Alert Issued as Heavy Rain and Clouds Cover UAE
The UAE is currently facing unstable weather, especially in Al Ain, Sharjah, and Fujairah. Heavy rain and thick clouds are affecting daily life in many areas. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a Yellow Alert. Rain and cloudy skies are expected to continue until Sunday.
Rain Hits Multiple Regions
Convective clouds have formed over the eastern and northern parts of the UAE. Because of this, areas like Khor Fakkan in Sharjah and Masafi in Fujairah saw heavy rain. Hail was also seen in Mleiha, Sharjah. The NCM warns that this weather may bring more rain, thunder, and even hail.

Safety Warning from Authorities
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and the Ministry of Interior are taking the situation seriously. They are asking residents to avoid valleys, mountains, and flood zones. These places can be very dangerous during storms.
Police have also closed roads leading to mountains and wadis. Anyone ignoring safety rules may face legal action. These steps are in place to keep everyone safe.
Police Advise Drivers to Stay Alert
Drivers are being warned to take extra care on the roads. The police have placed temporary speed limits in some areas. They also remind people to drive slowly and keep a safe distance. Avoid flooded roads to prevent accidents or getting stuck.
What’s Causing This Weather?
The NCM explained the cause of this weather. A surface low-pressure system from the East is combining with a low-pressure system in the upper air. This mix is causing thick clouds and heavy rain.
The Yellow Alert is still active. The rain is not over yet, and more storms may come.
Stay Safe and Stay Informed
It is important to follow news from the NCM and other official sources. Check weather updates often. Listen to police and safety instructions. These alerts are shared to keep everyone safe.
The UAE government is working hard to manage the situation. The Yellow Alert means that people must be extra careful. Stay indoors if possible and avoid risky areas.
