In 2024, RAK Airport had its best year ever. It served over 661,000 travelers, a 28% jump from before. Cargo traffic also went up by 97%, with over 6,600 tonnes moved. These numbers show the airport’s growing importance in travel and trade.

RAK Airport’s move is part of a wider green plan. Ras Al Khaimah has a long-term energy strategy running until 2040. The emirate is also exploring new air travel ideas. One plan is to launch air taxis by 2027. These electric vehicles will take off and land vertically. They will connect tourists to top spots in Ras Al Khaimah. These taxis will use clean energy and reduce pollution.
