UAE Weather Alert: Residents Urged to Stay Safe as Temperatures Soar
The UAE is currently facing an intense heatwave, with temperatures climbing as high as 45.9°C in some areas. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a UAE weather alert, urging residents to take serious precautions. As the heat continues, the combination of high temperatures and rising humidity poses significant health risks.
Scorching Heat Across the Nation
Recently, the highest recorded temperature was 48.2°C in Hamim, located in the Al Dhafra region. Other areas such as Gasyoura and Um Azimul also experienced extreme heat, with temperatures well above 46°C. These conditions are not unusual for this time of year, but the severity of the current heatwave is alarming.
Humidity to Intensify at Night
According to the NCM, the hot weather will persist throughout the week. Daytime temperatures could range from 45°C to 49°C, while coastal areas will also face high humidity at night. Humidity levels may reach up to 90%, making the nights uncomfortable and potentially dangerous for those without proper cooling.

Health Concerns on the Rise
Medical professionals are seeing an increase in heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Doctors are urging the public to stay indoors during peak hours and to drink plenty of water. Wearing light clothing and using air-conditioned spaces can also help reduce the risk of illness.
Workplaces Urged to Follow Midday Break Rule
The UAE government continues to enforce the midday break rule to protect workers. Outdoor work is banned from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM during the summer months. Employers must comply with this regulation to ensure worker safety during this UAE weather alert.
UAE Weather Alert: Stay Informed and Stay Safe
Authorities advise everyone to monitor weather updates from official sources like the NCM. Residents should take heat warnings seriously, adjust their routines, and look out for vulnerable individuals, including children and the elderly.
The extreme weather highlights the importance of community awareness and responsibility. As the UAE weather alert continues, staying cautious and prepared is key to staying safe.
