Experts suggest innovative solutions to ease the burden on working parents. Dr. Fayeza Alrais, a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology, proposed offering remote work during women’s ovulation periods to reduce stress. This approach could positively impact pregnancy rates.
She shared an observation from the Covid-19 pandemic: pregnancy rates increased among women working from home. Dr. Alrais believes that combining remote work in the UAE with financial incentives could help boost fertility rates.
Ministry for Family Affairs: A Step Forward
In December, the UAE established the Ministry for Family Affairs to empower families and promote stability. The ministry aims to create legislation, policies, and programs that address family challenges. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized the shared responsibility of the public, private sectors, and individuals in supporting families.
