Abu Dhabi ‘s New Year 2025 Holiday Changes: Free Parking and Toll Updates
Abu Dhabi is making several changes to transportation services for New Year’s Day on January 1, 2025. The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) has announced adjusted schedules for parking, toll gates, buses, and licensing services during the holiday.
Customer Happiness Centres Closed
Abu Dhabi’s Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on January 1. They will reopen on Thursday, January 2. However, residents can still access services online via the Abu Dhabi Mobility website, Darbi, Darb websites, and the “TAMM” platform. For urgent matters, the Service Support Centre (800850) and Taxi Call Centre (600535353) are available 24/7.
Free Parking and Toll Fees
Parking will be free on New Year’s Day. MAWAQiF surface parking fees will not apply on Wednesday, January 1, and will resume at 8:00 am on Thursday. The Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also be free for the day. However, drivers must avoid parking in restricted areas, as this can disrupt traffic flow. Additionally, parking in residential spaces is not allowed from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am.
Toll Gates
The Darb toll gates in Abu Dhabi will be free on January 1. The toll charges will be reactivated on Thursday, during peak hours—7:00 am to 9:00 am and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Public Bus Services in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi’s public buses will run according to the weekend schedule on the holiday. Additional regional and intercity buses will also operate to meet demand.
