Road Closures Around Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall on New Year’s Eve

Dubai authorities have announced road closures near the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall on December 31, with most closures starting from 4 PM. These measures aim to prevent traffic bottlenecks during the much-anticipated New Year’s Eve celebrations. The announcement was made on Tuesday during a press conference held by the Events Security Committee (ESC).

Collaborative Efforts for a Smooth New Year’s Eve

Hussein Al Bana, Executive Director of Traffic and Roads at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), They stated that RTA teams will collaborate with Dubai Police and property developer Emaar to manage the closures effectively. This partnership ensures a seamless experience for all residents and visitors enjoying the New Year’s Eve festivities.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Financial Centre Road Closures 

According to the RTA, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard will close at 4 PM. Once parking in the area is fully occupied. Visitors with reservations in the Boulevard or Dubai Mall areas are advised to arrive before 4 PM. Similarly, the lower Financial Centre Road will close at 4 PM. While the Upper Financial Centre Road will be closed starting at 9 PM.

Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Asayel Street Restrictions

Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed at 11 PM to accommodate the influx of New Year’s Eve traffic. Meanwhile, Al Asayel Street will close at 4 PM, serving as an emergency route and bus layby to support the festivities.

Future Street Closure Near DIFC and Dubai World Trade Centre

Future Street will also be closed from 4 PM. Specifically on the stretch between the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Dubai World Trade Centre. This closure will remain in place until the New Year celebrations conclude.

By implementing these road closures and coordinating with key partners, Dubai is set to ensure a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve experience for everyone.
