Stargate UAE: First Phase of 200MW to Complete by 2026

Progress Update

The first phase of Stargate UAE is advancing quickly.G42 has already started civil construction, structural work, and system installations. They are also producing modular components that will speed up the build. Long-lead equipment has been purchased and partly delivered to the site. This shows that the supply chain is active and reliable.
The first 200 MW is on track for completion by 2026.

However, the timeline for later phases of the 1 GW cluster is not yet confirmed. Plans for the full 5 GW AI campus are still under review.

Why It Matters

Stargate UAE will play a major role in the UAE’s AI ambitions. It will help the country lead in data, cloud, and supercomputing. The project will also connect the UAE with Asia, Africa, and Europe through an “Intelligence Grid.” This means faster data transfer and better cooperation between regions.

Challenges
