Dubai Cuts Vehicle Licensing Services to Just 14
The Dubai vehicle licensing reform is now live. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has cut its vehicle licensing services from 54 to only 14. That’s a big 74% drop. This change is part of a bigger plan. The goal is to make services faster, easier, and more digital.
Why the Big Change?
The RTA wants to improve how people get things done. Long queues and many steps made simple tasks hard. So now, instead of many steps, you get fewer and faster services. For example, getting a vehicle registration certificate used to take 13 steps. Now, it’s just one. Also, six services for vehicle transfer and export are now under one name: Vehicle Registration Cancellation. This means you waste less time and effort.

All Services Now on Dubai Now App
The RTA has linked this change with the Dubai Now app. This app helps people complete many government services in one place. You can now do most vehicle licensing tasks on your phone. It uses UAE Pass for signing forms. You can do it all from home. No need to visit an RTA office unless required.
More Than Just a Time Saver
The Dubai vehicle licensing reform is not only about speed. It also helps reduce errors, paperwork, and confusion. People now follow fewer steps and face less stress. The RTA worked with other government offices to connect data. So, the services are more accurate and secure.
What’s Next for Drivers?
This reform helps both individuals and companies. Whether you own one car or many, you now get things done faster. RTA says more updates are coming. The aim is to keep improving service for everyone in Dubai. Thanks to the Dubai vehicle licensing reform, drivers now save time, avoid long lines, and enjoy simple digital services.
