Dubai’s RTA Announces New Auction
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is all set to hold its 79th RTA Number Plate Auction. This auction will take place online and includes 350 special number plates. These plates come in three, four, and five-digit combinations. Car lovers, collectors, and regular drivers can all take part.
Auction Includes Plates from H to Z
The auction offers number plates with codes from H to Z. That means you can bid on plates starting with H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. These plates are available for private cars, classic cars, and motorcycles.
Registration Starts on May 19, 2025
You can register for the RTA Number Plate Auction starting Monday, May 19, 2025. Registration will stay open for only five days. Make sure to register by Friday, May 23, 2025. The auction goes live on Monday, May 26, 2025.
How to Join the Auction
Anyone who wants to bid must have a valid Dubai traffic file. You can register and join the auction through the RTA website or the RTA Dubai Drive app. The process is easy and safe. You don’t need to visit any office. Just log in and place your bids from your phone or computer.
Important Things to Know
Every winning bid will include a 5% VAT. This is added to the final price. So, if you win a plate, expect to pay a bit more due to tax.
