Dubai International Airport Introduces Faster, Smarter Security System
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is introducing a cutting-edge security system to make air travel quicker and easier. With the new 3D scanners, passengers no longer need to remove laptops, electronics, or liquids from their bags during security checks. This will speed up the security process and improve the overall experience for travelers.
New 3D Scanners for Faster Security Checks
The new technology, created by emaratech, a Dubai-based company, uses high-tech 3D X-ray imaging. It gives security staff a detailed, color-coded view of everything inside your bag. Safe items are marked in green, while items needing a closer look are highlighted in red. This system reduces the need for manual checks and minimizes false alarms.

Smart Trolleys Make Security Easier
Passengers can now place their carry-on bags on smart trolleys. These trolleys will automatically pass through the scanners, so you don’t have to remove your laptop or liquids. This new feature makes the security process faster and more convenient for travelers.
Increased Efficiency and Comfort
The introduction of these new scanners is expected to significantly boost the number of passengers DXB can process. The current number of 150 passengers per hour will increase to 450. Additionally, these smart trolleys are equipped with touch-screen displays, providing real-time updates about flights, gate information, and directions inside the airport. This makes the airport experience even more comfortable and user-friendly.
Dubai International Airport Leads the Way in Innovation
Dubai International Airport continues to lead in airport innovation. With this new security system, DXB reinforces its position as the busiest international airport in the world. The system will be ready for use later this year or early next year, pending final certification. Once fully operational, it will set a new standard for airport security and travel convenience worldwide.
In short, this new technology promises a smoother, faster airport experience for everyone traveling through Dubai International Airport.
