Vaibhav Suryavanshi, just 14 years old, has made IPL history. He became the youngest male cricketer to score a T20 century. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 101 runs in only 38 balls against Gujarat Titans.
He hit 11 sixes and 7 fours, helping his team chase down 209 runs in just 15.5 overs. This amazing performance gave the Royals an eight-wicket victory.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s century came off just 35 balls. It is the second-fastest century in IPL history and the fastest by any Indian. He broke Yusuf Pathan’s 2010 record of a 37-ball century. And this was only Vaibhav’s third match in the league.

He started playing cricket very young. At just 12 years and 284 days, he made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar. He was one of the youngest players in the tournament’s history.
He also scored a fast 104-run century off 62 balls for India Under-19 against Australia Under-19. That made him the fastest Indian to score a Youth Test century.
A Big Break in the IPL Auction
In the 2025 IPL auction, Rajasthan Royals bought Vaibhav Suryavanshi for ₹1.1 crore. He became the youngest-ever IPL player to get picked at that price.
His father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, played a big role in his success. A former cricketer himself, he coached Vaibhav personally. Four years ago, he even sold family land to support his son’s cricket dream.
