Etihad Rail unveiled its first high-speed, all-electric passenger train on Thursday in the UAE. This revolutionary train will connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai, reducing travel time to just 30 minutes.

High-Speed Train to Redefine UAE Travel

The train will run at 350kmph and cover six key stations. These stations include Reem Island, Saadiyat, Yas Island, Zayed International Airport, Al Maktoum International Airport, and Al Jaddaf. Travelers will enjoy fast, efficient, and eco-friendly transportation across these strategic locations.

UAE’s Regular Passenger Train to Connect Emirates

Etihad Rail will also introduce a regular-speed passenger train. This train will travel at 200kmph and can carry 400 passengers. It will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, and other key UAE locations. This service will cater to daily commuters, enhancing regional connectivity and reducing reliance on cars.

UAE to Benefit Economically From Rail Projects

This project will contribute Dh145 billion to the UAE’s GDP over the next 50 years. The extensive rail network will boost trade, tourism, and local business activities. The regular-speed train will also extend to Oman and integrate with the GCC Railway network, connecting the UAE to neighboring countries.
