Washington: US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Sriram Krishnan, a prominent tech expert of Indian origin. He is appointed as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Sharing the announcement on Truth Social, Trump expressed confidence in Krishnan’s ability to advance America’s leadership in AI and coordinate AI policies across the government.

Trump praised Krishnan’s background, highlighting his role as a founding member of Microsoft’s Windows Azure. His extensive experience in technology and public policy. Trump noted that Krishnan will collaborate closely with David Sacks and the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology to shape the country’s AI strategy.

Acknowledging the opportunity, Sriram Krishnan, 41, expressed gratitude. He stating, “I’m honored to serve our country and ensure American leadership in AI, working closely with @DavidSacks. Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for this opportunity.”

Background and Achievements of  Sriram Krishnan

Krishnan, a graduate of SRM Engineering College under Anna University, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. He has an impressive career spanning leadership roles at Meta, Twitter/X, and Microsoft. Until recently, he was a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. He investing in over two dozen companies, including SpaceX, Figma, and Scale.ai.. Krishnan and his wife, Aarthi Ramamurthy, also host a podcast titled “The Aarthi and Sriram Show.”
