Dubai’s latest RTA Auction has made headlines by collecting nearly Dh100 million from exclusive number plate sales. Held at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel, this 117th auction became the most successful event in the history of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Car enthusiasts and collectors rushed to grab some of the most unique number plates available. In fact, this RTA Auction created a real buzz among Dubai’s elite and number plate collectors alike.
Top Plates Sold for Millions
The event generated a staggering Dh98.83 million, marking the highest revenue ever achieved in the history of RTA plate auctions.
Leading the high-profile bids was the coveted plate number CC 22, which was sold for Dh8.35 million. It was followed by BB 20, which fetched Dh7.52 million, and BB 19, securing Dh6.68 million. Other notable sales included AA 707 at Dh3.31 million and AA 222 at Dh3.3 million.
A Wide Range of Exclusive Plates
The auction featured 90 premium number plates across two- to five-digit combinations from 14 different codes, including AA, BB, CC, I, J, O, P, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
Buyers had a wide range of choices to match their personal or business identities. Thanks to a fair and transparent process, everyone had an equal chance to bid for their favorite number.
