Parkin Launches a New Parking App
Dubai motorists can now use the Dubai’s New Parking App for seamless parking payments and real-time space tracking. The app, launched by Parkin PJSC, enhances convenience with features like “park now, pay later” and autopay. It is available on iOS and Android for immediate download.
Find and Pay for Parking Easily
The app helps users find available parking spaces with a real-time tracking system. Its advanced search feature allows users to locate both on-street and off-street parking areas. Motorists can schedule future parking and add it to their calendar.
Convenient Payment and Auto-Renewal
Parkin’s app introduces flexible payment options, including deferred payments with the “PayLater” feature. Users can also enable dynamic auto-renewal for uninterrupted parking. The app integrates parking permits into device wallets for easy access and management.
Dispute Fines and Manage Parking Permits
Motorists can pay parking fines, dispute charges, and request refunds directly through the app. The app also supports wallet management, vehicle management, and seasonal parking subscriptions.
Seamless AutoPay System
AutoPay eliminates the need for physical tickets or manual payments. Automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) detects vehicles at entry and exit, linking payments to registered accounts. This feature is available at multi-storey car parks and partner locations like Majid Al Futtaim malls.
How to Register and Use the App
Motorists can register via three methods:
- Creating an account.
- Using UAE Pass or an RTA account.
- Filling out the Parkin registration form.
After logging in, users can pay for public and private parking with a few taps.
Future Updates and Additional Services
Parkin plans to introduce EV charging payments and parking fee integration in a single transaction. Other future services include car washing, on-the-go refueling, engine oil changes, tire checks, and battery inspections.
Supporting Dubai’s Urban Mobility Plan
Parkin CEO Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali emphasized the app’s role in improving urban mobility. The app aligns with Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan by enhancing accessibility and reducing congestion.
Dubai’s parking system has evolved since 1995, shifting from Dubai Municipality to RTA in 2005. Parkin became a separate entity in 2023 and was listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2024. In the first nine months of 2024, Parkin processed 95 million parking transactions.
