First Look at a New Leader in Avatar 3

James Cameron has teased that Avatar 3 will showcase a different side of the Na’vi people. Unlike the peaceful Omaticaya and Metkayina clans from previous films, the upcoming installment will introduce a more aggressive group called the Ash People. Recently, fans got a glimpse of the leader of the Ash People, played by actress Oona Chaplin. The image reveals a Na’vi warrior with a commanding presence, covered in dark red war paint. Unlike Jake Sully’s clan, who live in harmony with nature, this new group has a harsher and more confrontational way of life.

The introduction of the Ash People will bring a major shift in the story. Cameron confirmed that they will be more aggressive and could even serve as antagonists. This is a bold move, as the first two films mainly focused on human invaders as the villains.
