Dubai: Samsung Electronics has confirmed it will host its next Unpacked event on January 22 in San Jose, California. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil its latest Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup at this event.

The event teaser showcases four devices, fuelling speculation about the launch of the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and a new addition: the Galaxy S25 Slim.

This launch builds on Samsung’s foray into AI-driven technology. Last year, the company introduced its first smartphones powered by artificial intelligence. In an invitation sent to media outlets, Samsung hinted at further advancements in AI capabilities, promising a more “natural and intuitive” user experience.

“Get ready for AI that is more natural and intuitive. The next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming, and it’s going to change the way you interact with the world every day,” the invitation read. Samsung also described the new Galaxy S series as a game-changer, claiming it would “set the bar for mobile AI experiences now and into the future.”

The January 22 event will be streamed live on Samsung’s website, newsroom, and YouTube channel at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Samsung’s Galaxy S series, launched in 2010, has long been a cornerstone of its consumer electronics division, directly competing with Apple’s iPhone. The Galaxy S24, introduced in early 2024, saw record sales attributed to its integration of AI features, including real-time language translation and advanced photography tools.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Launch: A New Era in AI-Driven Smartphones

Samsung announces the official release date of its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series, set to unveil cutting-edge AI advancements. The January 22 Unpacked event will showcase the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim, with live streaming options for tech enthusiasts worldwide.

However, rivals like Apple and Google have also doubled down on AI with features such as personalized voice assistants and enhanced computational photography. AI-integration into consumer electronics has also become a major growth driver across the tech industry.

What to expect?

For now, details remain sparse. However, industry insiders are speculating that the S25 Ultra will feature a powerful new AI-enhanced processor, advanced camera capabilities, and potentially even expanded compatibility with the company’s growing lineup of smart devices. Industry experts say that the rumoured Galaxy S25 Slim could also cater to budget-conscious consumers.
