Rainy Weather Expected in UAE This Week
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that a low-pressure system from the Arabian Sea will impact the UAE’s weather this week. From Monday, December 23, to Thursday, December 26, residents should prepare for rainy weather, especially in eastern, northern, and southern parts of the country.
This system combines a surface low-pressure area from the southeast and an upper air low-pressure system with cold air from the west. This mix will create different types of clouds across scattered areas, bringing rain to regions like Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Al Ain, and eventually other parts of the UAE.
What to Expect
- Rainy Conditions: Clouds will build up in various areas, leading to rainfall, particularly in the eastern and northern regions before spreading inland and westward.
- Winds: Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds may strengthen around cloud formations, kicking up dust and sand, which could reduce visibility.
- Seas: The sea conditions will generally be slight to moderate, but waves may become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Stay updated on weather forecasts and take caution, especially when driving in rainy or windy conditions. This rainy weather will cool temperatures and provide some relief from the dry season.
