Rain and Cooler Dubai Weather Expected from October 10 to 14

Get ready for some exciting changes in the Dubai weather! The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has announced that rain, thunder, and cooler air are coming soon. From Friday, October 10, until Tuesday, October 14, the UAE will see cloudy skies, rainfall, and a drop in temperature across many areas.

What’s Causing the Change in Dubai Weather

The weather shift is due to two air systems meeting. A low-pressure system is moving in from the south. At the same time, cold and humid air is moving from above. When these two meet, they create clouds, rain, and sometimes thunder.
This mix will make the air cooler and fresher than usual. You may notice that mornings and evenings feel more pleasant across Dubai and nearby emirates.

Where and When It Will Rain

The northern and eastern parts of the UAE will see the most rain. Some areas might even get heavy showers or short thunderstorms. Rain could also reach inland and coastal regions, including Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.
In the mountain areas, there’s a chance of small hail. So, if you’re planning a road trip, check the weather before leaving.

Temperature Drop and Windy Conditions

A noticeable dip in temperature is expected throughout the country. The Dubai weather will feel cooler and breezier, especially in the evenings.
Winds will start from the southeast and later turn northwest. These winds may carry dust and sand, especially in open areas, so visibility could drop at times. If you drive, keep your headlights on and stay alert.

Sea and Coastal Warnings

People heading to the beach should be careful. The Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman will have moderate to rough waves. It’s safer to avoid swimming or boating during unstable weather. Listen to official warnings from NCM before going to the sea.

Safety Tips for Everyone

Drivers should slow down on wet roads and keep a safe distance. Rain can cause slippery streets and water puddles.
Residents should secure outdoor items like plants or furniture. Avoid standing near large trees or billboards during strong winds. Stay updated with NCM alerts and follow local safety advice.

A Refreshing Change in Dubai Weather

After months of heat, the Dubai weather will finally feel cooler and more comfortable. The coming rain will refresh the air and bring relief across the UAE. So, enjoy the cooler breeze but plan your days wisely and stay safe on the road.
