Dubai Completes Sewerage Network Upgrade in Nad Al Sheba 3
Dubai Municipality has finished an important sewerage network upgrade in Nad Al Sheba 3. The project cost AED 277 million and aims to improve the area’s drainage system. This upgrade connects to Dubai’s main sewerage network, helping homes and businesses stay clean and dry.
What the Upgrade Includes
The new sewerage system covers 24 kilometers. Out of this, 11 kilometers connect directly to houses. The network uses pipes sized from 200mm to 800mm. This ensures water flows smoothly and safely.
To handle rainwater, the Municipality built a new pumping station. It can pump up to 4,000 liters per second. Alongside, they added a 31-kilometer gravity drainage system. This system helps carry rainwater away during storms. Thanks to this, flooding risks reduce significantly.
