World’s Largest AI Data Center Coming to Abu Dhabi
OpenAI Joins Hands with UAE
OpenAI has teamed up with the UAE to build the world’s largest AI data center. This new mega project will rise in Abu Dhabi. It will be called “Stargate UAE.” OpenAI is doing this with the support of G42, a tech company based in Abu Dhabi. The center will start with a huge 200-megawatt capacity by 2026 and later expand even more.
Why This Project Matters
This is not just a regular data center. It will be the biggest AI hub in the world. The UAE is aiming to become a global leader in artificial intelligence. The project is part of OpenAI’s new global plan called “OpenAI for Countries.” With this move, OpenAI is expanding its reach beyond the United States.
ChatGPT Services for Everyone in UAE
The UAE will be the first country where all people can use OpenAI’s ChatGPT tools. Everyone will have access to ChatGPT Plus. That means students, workers, and businesses can use AI in daily life. This could boost learning, improve jobs, and help grow the economy.

Big Tech Backs the Move
Many global tech giants are backing this project. Companies like Nvidia, Oracle, Cisco, and SoftBank are involved. Nvidia will provide top AI chips for the center. Around 100,000 chips will power over 1,400 servers.
Better Ties Between US and UAE
This project also helps build strong ties between the US and UAE. The US has removed past rules that blocked AI chip exports to the UAE. In return, the UAE will invest in AI centers in the US. One of them is called the MGX initiative.
A Bold Future for AI in the UAE
OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, says this is just the beginning. He believes the world’s largest AI data center can change healthcare, education, and energy. The UAE also wants to be the world’s first AI-powered government by 2027. This mega center will not just store data. It will spark ideas, boost growth, and shape the future of AI for the world.
