Dubai Pushes for a Digital Future
Dubai is quickly becoming a top hub for tech and digital businesses. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy (DCDE) is leading this move. In the first part of 2025, DCDE supports digital startups by helping 127 of them start and grow.
These startups come from different sectors. Some focus on artificial intelligence, others on finance, healthcare, and software. This variety shows that Dubai is open to all kinds of digital ideas.
Training Local Talent
DCDE is not just helping businesses. It also supports young Emiratis. Through the “Create Apps in Dubai” program, over 200 locals learned to build mobile apps in early 2025. The goal is to triple the number of app developers in the city.
This program was launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed. He wants to see 100 new tech projects led by locals. The plan fits into Dubai’s larger digital vision.

Strong Words from Leaders
Omar Sultan Al Olama, who leads DCDE, shared his thoughts. He said the goal is to make Dubai a global digital leader. When DCDE supports digital startups, it helps the economy grow and creates new jobs.
He added that the support is not just money. It also includes training, events, and links to investors.
Going Global with Local Ideas
DCDE also promotes Dubai abroad. It holds roadshows and tech events in other countries. These help bring in new partners and investors. The goal is to bring in AED 100 billion every year with digital projects.
The Future Looks Bright
Dubai is moving fast in the digital space. With its strong support system, startups have a real chance to grow. Local talent is getting the tools to build apps and tech firms. And with DCDE leading the way, the city is closer to becoming a top digital capital.
In short, DCDE supports digital startups in many ways—training, funding, and global exposure. The results are already showing.
