Dubai Financial Market Delivers Exceptional Performance in Q1 2025

Record Trading Activity Powers Dubai Financial Market Revenue Growth

Dubai Financial Market posted impressive growth in Q1 2025, fueled by record trading activity. DFM reported total consolidated revenue of AED 186.5 million, up from AED 148.1 million in Q1 2024. Operating income reached AED 86 million, while investment and other income totaled AED 100.5 million.

Dubai Financial Market Sees Strong Profitability and Cost Efficiency

The market’s net profit before tax stood at AED 134.9 million, compared to AED 95.6 million last year. Effective cost management was key, with DFM recording expenses of AED 51.6 million, compared to AED 52.5 million in Q1 2024.

DFM Achieves Highest ADTV in Over a Decade

An Average Daily Trading Value (ADTV) of AED 663 million was achieved, a 67% year-on-year increase. The total traded value surged by 61% to AED 41 billion, compared to AED 25.5 billion previously. The daily trade volume rose by 33% year-on-year, reaching 13,400 trades per day.

DFM Cap Slightly Declines but Confidence Remains High

At the end of March 2025, market capitalization stood at AED 897 billion, slightly down by 1% from year-end 2024. Despite this minor dip, investor confidence and trading momentum remained strong.

DFM Welcomes New Investors and Strengthens Foreign Participation

During the quarter, DFM welcomed 19,366 new investors, 86% of whom were foreign nationals. Foreign investors contributed 53% of the total trading value, with foreign ownership steady at 21%.

Institutional investors continued to play a vital role, accounting for 72% of total trading value, up from 65% last year.
