Avoid MOE Parking Fines: What You Need to Know
Dubai has rolled out a new parking system at Mall of the Emirates (MOE) and City Centre Deira. This smart, ticketless system uses cameras to track your car’s license plate as you enter and exit the mall. It makes parking smoother, but if you don’t pay on time, you could face Dh150 MOE parking fines.
How the New Parking System Works
When you drive into the mall, cameras record your license plate. There’s no need to take a ticket or stop at a barrier. The system keeps track of your parking time automatically. If your visit goes beyond the free time limit, you will get a text message. It includes a payment link. You have three days to pay. If you don’t, you’ll be charged a Dh150 MOE parking fine.

MOE Parking Fines: Parking is Free – But Only for a Few Hours
At MOE, parking is free for the first four hours on weekdays. After that, charges apply:
- 4–5 hours: Dh20
- 5–6 hours: Dh40
- 6–7 hours: Dh60
- 7–8 hours: Dh100
- More than 8 hours: Dh150
City Centre Deira gives you three free hours on weekdays. Parking is free at both malls on weekends and public holidays.
How to Get Free or Discounted Parking
Want to skip the MOE parking fines? Spend Dh150 or more at the mall. That gives you free parking for the day. If you’re going to VOX Cinemas or Ski Dubai, you get two extra free hours. People using valet services get free validation too. People of Determination can validate at the customer service desk for free parking.
Know the Rules to Avoid MOE Parking Fines
Don’t leave your car overnight. That comes with a Dh200 fine. Also, don’t park in reserved spaces for People of Determination unless you’re allowed. That can lead to a Dh1,000 fine.
Final Tip
This new system saves time, but only if you follow the rules. To avoid MOE parking fines, watch the clock and pay on time.
