Expansion to Meet Growing Demand
Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) is investing AED 90 million to expand its Logistics Park. This expansion comes as businesses seek high-quality warehousing and distribution facilities. The new development will increase the total area of Jafza Logistics Park to over 922,000 square feet.
Successful Completion of Phase 1
Jafza completed the first phase of the Logistics Park in November 2023, in collaboration with Group AMANA. The first phase covered 562,507 square feet and introduced premium storage units. These included dry and pharmaceutical storage, temperature-controlled warehouses, and modern office spaces. To ensure efficiency and safety, Jafza installed facilities like loading docks, security systems, and CCTV surveillance. Due to high demand, businesses leased all units in Phase 1 before construction finished.
Phase 2 to Enhance Storage Capacity
Jafza is now moving forward with Phase 2, which will add 250,000 square feet of Grade-A storage facilities. This phase is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2025. Like Phase 1, it is being developed with Group AMANA to further meet the needs of businesses in the region.
Boosting Business Growth and Connectivity
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of DP World GCC, emphasized that this expansion will strengthen businesses and drive economic growth. Jafza Logistics Park, with its strategic location near Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, will help businesses reach global markets more easily.
Focus on Sustainability
Jafza has designed the Logistics Park with sustainability in mind. The facility uses precast concrete and off-site construction to reduce its environmental impact. Additionally, skylights provide natural lighting, helping to lower energy consumption.
