Dubai Customs Gears Up for Eid Al Fitr 2025 Airport Rush

Preparing for the Holiday Travel Surge

Dubai Customs is all set to handle the huge influx of travelers expected during Eid Al Fitr 2025. Authorities predict around 3.6 million passengers will pass through Dubai International Airport between March 30 and April 2. To ensure a smooth experience, Dubai Customs is deploying extra staff, upgrading technology, and improving coordination with other airport authorities.

Faster Customs Clearance with Advanced Technology

To reduce waiting times, Dubai Customs has introduced the ‘iDeclare’ system. This digital platform allows travelers to declare goods, personal items, and currencies before landing. With this system, customs clearance now takes less than four minutes. Additionally, authorities have installed 77 advanced baggage scanners—58 for large luggage and 19 for hand baggage—to speed up inspections.

More Officers for Quick Processing

Dubai Customs has increased the number of officers at all airport terminals. These officers will ensure faster security checks and assist passengers with customs procedures. By adding more staff, Dubai aims to prevent long queues and provide a hassle-free experience.

Stronger Coordination with Airport Authorities

Dubai Customs is closely working with Dubai Airports and major airlines like Emirates to improve efficiency. Officials are using pre-notification systems to track passenger arrivals in advance. This way, teams can prepare for busy hours and manage the rush without delays.
