Dubai hospitality industry is growing rapidly, with thousands of new hotel rooms opening in the next few years. The city plans to add over 11,300 hotel rooms by 2027, including 4,620 in 2025 alone. This expansion will create around 15,000 direct hospitality jobs and up to 50,000 indirect jobs in tourism, retail, and logistics.
More Hotels, More Jobs
In 2024, Dubai’s hotel industry grew by 2.9%, adding 4,255 rooms across 19 new hotels. By the end of the year, the city had 724 hotels with over 151,000 rooms. This growth aligns with Dubai’s goal of becoming one of the top three global tourism destinations.
With 20 new hotels opening in 2025, the demand for hospitality workers will rise. Luxury hotels will lead the expansion, adding 1,685 rooms across eight properties. The upper-upscale category will contribute 1,520 rooms from six hotels, while other segments will also expand.

Tourism Boosting the Hospitality Industry
Dubai’s tourism industry is thriving, attracting 18.72 million overnight visitors in 2024—an increase of 9.1% from the previous year. The sector contributed AED 236 billion to the economy, making up 12% of the UAE’s GDP. Hotel occupancy reached 78%, with an average daily rate of AED 690, showing strong market stability.
This tourism boom is fueling the demand for hotels, creating numerous job opportunities in Dubai hospitality. From front desk managers to housekeeping and culinary staff, many roles will be needed to support this growth.
