UAE Housing Program Introduces New Support Rules for Women

The UAE government has set new rules to help Emirati women get housing support. The UAE housing program now provides clear guidelines for unmarried women who need a place to live. This initiative aims to offer stable housing to those in need, ensuring a better quality of life.

Who Can Get Housing Support?

The UAE housing program has identified six groups of unmarried Emirati women who can apply for housing support:

  1. Widows with Children – Women who have lost their husbands and are raising children.
  2. Divorced Women with Children – Mothers who are responsible for their children after a divorce.
  3. Orphans – Women who have lost both parents.
  4. Women of Unknown Parentage – Individuals whose parents are not known.
  5. Women Who Lost Both Parents – Those without parental support.
  6. Elderly Women – Senior citizens who need housing assistance.

If a woman does not fall into any of these groups, she must apply through her parent’s housing request. This rule follows the UAE Cabinet Resolution No. (61) of 2021, which promotes family stability.

Why Is This Initiative Important?

The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, stated that the UAE housing program aims to strengthen family bonds and ensure a good living standard for citizens. The government actively helps vulnerable women, including widows, divorcees, and the elderly, live in safe and secure homes.

Government’s Commitment to Housing Welfare

The UAE government has taken a proactive approach to support citizens with housing needs. It offers free housing, land, housing loans, and maintenance services. These efforts ensure that all Emiratis, especially women, have access to stable homes.

UAE Housing Program: A Step Towards an Inclusive Future

By setting these regulations, the UAE housing program ensures that no vulnerable woman is left without support. This move reflects the country’s dedication to social welfare and improving the quality of life for its people. With these new rules, the UAE continues to promote security, stability, and inclusivity in housing policies.
