Public Sector Holidays Confirmed
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has officially announced the Eid Al-Fitr holidays for public sector employees in 2025. Government offices will be closed from the 1st to the 3rd of Shawwal 1446 AH. Work will resume on the 4th of Shawwal.
The exact dates in the Gregorian calendar depend on the moon sighting, which marks the end of Ramadan. If Ramadan lasts for 30 days, the holiday period may be extended accordingly.
Essential Services to Continue
While most public sector employees will enjoy the break, some workers in essential services will still be on duty. Employees in public facilities, healthcare, and emergency services will follow a special schedule to ensure smooth operations. Each department will determine their working hours based on operational needs.
Leadership Sends Best Wishes
The DGHR extended warm Eid greetings to UAE leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE. They also wished all UAE citizens and residents a blessed Eid Al-Fitr.
