Qatar Airways Expands Flights to Meet Growing Travel Demand
Qatar Airways is expanding its flight services to keep up with the rising demand for global travel. The airline, which already flies to over 170 destinations, aims to offer passengers more convenience and seamless connections. This move will strengthen its presence in key markets while ensuring better travel experiences.
More Flights Between Doha and Berlin
Starting in July 2025, Qatar Airways will increase flights between Doha and Berlin to three times a day. This decision follows a 16% surge in German passenger traffic in 2024. The airline plans to improve existing routes before launching new German destinations due to aircraft delivery delays.

Resuming Flights to Canberra
By the end of 2025, Qatar Airways will restart daily flights to Canberra, Australia. These flights will operate through Melbourne before heading to Doha. Passengers will enjoy upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft with QSuite cabins and high-speed Wi-Fi. This expansion strengthens Qatar Airways’ presence in Australia, offering more travel options.
Partnership with Virgin Australia
Qatar Airways is acquiring a 25% stake in Virgin Australia to expand its reach. By mid-2025, the airline plans to double flights from major Australian airports. This partnership will allow Australians to book flights to over 100 global destinations. More flights mean increased competition, which could lead to lower fares and better travel options for passengers flying to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Future Growth Plans
Qatar Airways is negotiating a major aircraft order with Airbus and Boeing to expand its passenger capacity. The goal is to reach 80 million passengers annually within five to six years. However, CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer stressed that the airline will focus on maintaining service quality rather than rapid expansion. Unlike competitors,it prioritizes customer experience over sheer growth.
Commitment to Better Travel
Qatar Airways continues to evolve with changing travel demands. By adding more flights, strengthening partnerships, and focusing on passenger comfort, the airline remains a top choice for global travelers.
