UAE Weather Alert

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will experience changing weather conditions this weekend, with a chance of light rainfall across several areas. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert, warning residents about temperature fluctuations, shifting winds, and possible rain.

Saturday, March 8: Hot and Windy Weather

Saturday will be mostly hot, with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Temperatures could rise to 34°C (94°F) during the day and drop to 24°C (76°F) at night. The heat may cause dehydration, so residents should stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure.

Winds from the southeast and northeast will be moderate but may get stronger at times, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/hr. These gusts could raise dust, reducing visibility on the roads. The Arabian Gulf might experience moderate to rough waves, while the Oman Sea is expected to have calmer waters.

Sunday, March 9: Slightly Cooler with Possible Rain

On Sunday, temperatures may drop slightly, especially in western coastal areas. The sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy, and some regions, particularly islands and western areas, might experience light rainfall. The highest temperature could reach 32°C (90°F), while the lowest may remain around 24°C (76°F).

Winds will change direction throughout the day, shifting between southeasterly, northeasterly, and northwesterly. Speeds may reach up to 35 km/hr. The Arabian Gulf will have moderate waves, while the Oman Sea will stay relatively calm.

UAE Weather Alert: Precautions for Residents

  • Stay Updated: Check weather alerts from the NCM and local news sources regularly.
  • Stay Cool: Avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours to prevent heat-related illnesses.
  • Prepare for Rain: Carry an umbrella or raincoat, especially in areas expecting showers.
  • Drive Safely: Rain can make roads slippery, so drive carefully and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.

This weekend’s weather will bring a mix of heat, wind, and possible rain. Staying informed and taking necessary precautions will help residents stay safe and comfortable.
