Akasa Air Launches New Routes to Abu Dhabi
Akasa Air is making international travel easier by introducing direct flights from India to Abu Dhabi. The budget-friendly airline has launched daily flights from Bangalore and Ahmedabad to the UAE capital. This expansion started on March 1, 2025, and aims to improve connectivity for travelers between the two countries.
More Flight Options for Travelers
These new flights complement Akasa Air’s existing Mumbai-Abu Dhabi route, increasing its weekly flights to the UAE to 21. The additional routes offer more travel flexibility and make it easier for passengers to explore Abu Dhabi or connect to other destinations.
Flight Schedule and Timings
Akasa Air now operates flights to Abu Dhabi from three major Indian cities. The flight schedule is as follows:
- Bengaluru to Abu Dhabi: Departs at 10:00 AM IST, arrives at 12:40 PM AST
- Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru: Departs at 3:00 AM AST, arrives at 8:45 AM IST
- Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi: Departs at 10:45 PM IST, arrives at 1:00 AM AST
- Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad: Departs at 2:50 PM AST, arrives at 7:25 PM IST

Codeshare Partnership with Etihad Airways
Akasa Air has partnered with Etihad Airways for a codeshare agreement, making it easier for passengers to connect to more destinations worldwide. This partnership allows travelers to book a single itinerary and access seamless connections beyond Abu Dhabi.
Celebrating the First Flight
To mark the launch of the new Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi route, Akasa Air hosted a special event at Kempegowda International Airport. The airline’s executives lit a ceremonial lamp, and the first passenger received a special boarding pass to celebrate the occasion.
Akasa Air’s Rapid Growth
Since launching in August 2022, Akasa Air has expanded quickly. The airline now flies to 25 destinations, including 20 domestic and five international locations. The addition of Abu Dhabi routes from Bengaluru and Ahmedabad reflects its strategy to connect major Indian cities with key global destinations.
