Sharaf Group Big Investment Boost for Kerala
Dubai-based Sharaf Group has announced a massive ₹5,000 crore investment in Kerala. The news was revealed at the Global Investors Summit, Invest Kerala, currently taking place in Kochi. This investment will focus on improving logistics infrastructure, creating jobs, and boosting the state’s economy.
What Sharaf Group Plans to Do
Sharaf Group, a well-known shipping and logistics company, will set up modern logistics facilities in Kerala. The company will develop these hubs in two key locations to make the state a major center for trade. This investment will improve transportation and storage facilities, helping businesses move goods faster and more efficiently.
Other Major Investments at the Summit
The Global Investors Summit is attracting huge investments from different companies. On the first day, the Adani Group announced a ₹30,000 crore investment in Kerala. This includes ₹20,000 crore for the Vizhinjam Port project, which will transform it into India’s top transshipment hub. Adani Group will also invest ₹5,500 crore to expand Trivandrum International Airport, increasing its capacity from 4.5 million to 12 million passengers.
Apart from logistics, healthcare investments are also pouring in. The Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences from Telangana plans to invest ₹3,000 crore in Kerala’s healthcare sector. Aster DM Healthcare will invest ₹850 crore to expand medical facilities. The Lulu Group is also preparing to announce new projects in IT and food processing.
