Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a global business hub, attracting companies from around the world. In 2024, Indian businesses led the way in new registrations with the Dubai Chamber, recording 16,623 new memberships. This highlights the strong trade and investment ties between India and the UAE.

Indian Businesses Dominate New Registrations

Indian companies secured the top spot in new registrations with the Dubai Chamber, reflecting their confidence in Dubai’s business-friendly environment. Following India, Pakistan ranked second with 8,179 new businesses, while Egypt came third with 5,302 new members. This surge shows Dubai’s growing appeal as a preferred destination for entrepreneurs and investors.

High Growth Among Iraqi, Turkish, and UK Companies

Apart from India, several other countries saw a sharp increase in company registrations. Iraq, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom recorded the highest growth rates in 2024. Iraqi businesses grew by 37.8%, reaching 1,718 new registrations compared to 1,247 in 2023. Türkiye experienced a 25.5% rise, with 1,314 companies joining, while UK businesses increased by 14.2%, reaching 2,588 registrations.

Dubai’s diverse business landscape is evident in the Dubai Chamber’s latest figures. Here are the top 10 countries with the highest number of new business registrations in 2024:

  5. United Kingdom – 2,588
  6. Bangladesh – 2,369
  7. Iraq – 1,718

Leading Sectors for New Businesses

Most new companies registered with the Dubai Chamber belong to the trading and services sector, which accounted for 41.1% of total registrations. The real estate, renting, and business services sector followed closely at 32.9%. The construction industry contributed 10.5% of new businesses, while transport, storage, and communication sectors made up 8.4%.
